PeakHour - Advanced bandwidth monitor
PeakHour serves as a comfortable and elegant bandwidth monitoring application, but you can also use it if you wish to keep an eye on the performance or other characteristics of any SNMP and UPnP-enaled devices on your local network. The application provides you with a large amount of information, in a clear and easy to comprehend manner and you can tweak it to notify you various events.
The application presents a wide range of statistics, accompanied by colored graphs, regarding bandwidth usage, for cable and wireless connections. PeakHour can show statistics about several devices at once. The information can be found on a clean and simple panel, which you can access on the menu bar.
You can make all sorts of tweaks for individual devices, depending on how you want the application to report on their performance. Targeted devices are listed in the application's general settings menu, where you can add new ones and tweak on several tabs. Besides targeting a device and choosing how to display its statistics, you can also set up usage quotas, to avoid overusing a limited bandwidth.
The gathered statistics are logged automatically and kept at all times. This gives you the possibility of reviewing your bandwidth usage for the last few days, weeks, months or for other periods of time.
